This year's Oberlin Village Heritage 5K will be held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary NC.
Volunteers are a key part of the success of any event and the Oberlin Village Heritage 5K is no exception.
If you wish to support this event and its cause please consider becoming a volunteer.
The volunteer roles available are:
Advanced Check-In (4 volunteers needed)
Time – Friday June 16th from 3-6 pm at Fleet Feet at the Village District
Duties – Provide bib and shirt to race participants and accept new registrations
Volunteer Check-In (3 volunteers needed)
Time – 6:00 am - 8:00 am
Duties - Greet individual volunteers as their shift begins and check them off the master list
Race Day Check-In/Shirts (8 volunteers needed)
Time – 7:00 am - 8:00 am
Duties – Provide bib and shirt to race participants.
Race Day New Registration (4 volunteers needed)
Time – 7:00 am - 8:00 am
Duties – Accept and process new registrations
Finish Line (4 volunteers needed)
Time – 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Duties – Direct runners as they pass the finish line area and hand out medals to the finishers
Water Station (3 volunteers needed)
Time – 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Duties – Setup/take down water station in finish area and provide water to runners
Food/Drink (6 volunteers needed)
Time – 7:30 am - 9:30
Duties - Set out the food and drink items that will be available for participants, Replenishment of food and drink items and supplies, garbage collection and site cleanliness
Pre-Race Setup (6 volunteers needed)
Time – 6:00 am – 8:00 am
Duties - Set up various tents, tables, trash cans, signage and other event equipment at event site. Assist vendors set up at event site as needed
Post-Race Takedown (6 volunteers needed)
Time – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Duties - Take down various tents, tables, trash cans, signage and other event equipment at event site. Assist vendors take down at event site as needed
